Chief's Welcome
On behalf of the men and women of the Hopkins Hill Fire Department, I welcome you to our web site. It is our intent to make this site interesting and informative to both fire-fighters and the public we serve.
April 1976 I joined as a member of the fire department. In February 1992 I became the full-time Chief. We have met and will continue to meet the challenges of growth and change. This web site demonstrates our intent to continue to take advantage of the latest technology in meeting our obligations to the citizens of this district
The Hopkins Hill Fire Department offers structural fire and wildfire suppression, emergency medical services consisting of basic and advanced life support. We are one of four fire districts serving the Town of Coventry, Rhode Island. The department provides protection to its 6000 residents and a mutual aid response throughout the rest of the Town and its 36,000 residents.
The Hopkins Hill Fire Department is also one of seven local departments in the state tasked with regional Mass Casualty Decontamination.
With this web site we’ve tried to present information in a non-technical fashion to encourage you to thoroughly explore all areas.
Thank you for visiting us and we hope you enjoy our site.
Sincerely,
Frank M. Brown Jr.
Chief
Hopkins Hill Fire Department
